About the role#
Our National Conversation is looking for a Social Media Intern to help build our online presence and foster civil discussion. You will work with our Social Media Team Lead and Director of Media to carry out our strategy across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter. This is a remote role requiring coordination over Zoom and Slack. Interns have the opportunity to become the face of our platforms if they choose.
What you'll do#
- Create content for various social media platforms.
- Stay current with popular trends.
- Complete deliverables from the content calendar and suggest new ideas for approval.
- Analyze social media data weekly and adjust your approach based on the results.
- Attend weekly organization-wide and team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current or recent student in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing skills in English.
- Experience using social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
- Ability to work remotely and manage your own schedule to meet deadlines.
- Responsive and consistent communication habits.
- Authorization to intern in the U.S.
- A one-page cover letter with your application.
- Proficiency in Canva and Google Workspace is preferred, and verbal communication skills are a plus.
