About the role#
ArtsQuest is looking for a Public Relations Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site role based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. You will work within a nonprofit arts and culture organization that manages thousands of concerts, classes, and programs annually. This position provides direct experience with media relations, content creation, and communications strategy.
What you'll do#
- Write, edit, and proofread content for our website, blog, and various publications.
- Draft press releases, media advisories, and articles for both internal and external audiences.
- Create content for our social media accounts.
- Identify and pitch media opportunities while building and maintaining media lists.
- Track media coverage and coordinate photo shoots, radio, or TV appearances for performers.
- Conduct interviews with artists, performers, and donors.
- Assist with printed and digital communication materials for events.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather marketing information and copy.
- Support the team during various special events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Ability to earn academic credit for this internship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or coursework in public relations, journalism, communications, or marketing.
- Ability to set and meet strict deadlines.
- An interest in the arts.
- Prior experience writing for publication is preferred.
- Skills in photography, video, or editing are a plus.

It operates the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks and the Banana Factory Arts Education Center.
