About the role#
The Video Production Intern supports our media output by producing short and long form content. You will help create educational materials, podcasts, and debates that align with our mission to reduce partisanship. This role is remote, requiring coordination through Slack, Zoom, and email. You must be able to manage your own schedule to meet deadlines while maintaining consistent communication with the team.
What you'll do#
- Edit individual MP4 files into cohesive, longer content pieces.
- Create visual assets to improve the quality of our media.
- Propose strategies to boost engagement and suggest new content ideas.
- Manage projects according to the content calendar and specific editing instructions.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
- Develop targeting strategies to reach key audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current or recent student, preferably in Film, Video, or Graphic Arts.
- Interest in Film Studies or Video Production.
- Familiarity with common video editing software and basic file management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to attend weekly organization-wide and media department meetings.
- Experience with Google Workspace is preferred.
- Authorization to intern in the U.S.
- A one-page cover letter submitted with your application.
