About the role#
This Student Nurse Technician position is designed for senior nursing students. You will work alongside a preceptor to complete required clinical hours and assist with patient care tasks. This role operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and faculty members.
What you'll do#
- Monitor patient health status systematically and continually.
- Help implement the plan of care.
- Perform tasks as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Complete treatments and procedures as defined by the skills competency checklist.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a senior nursing student in an accredited college of nursing.
- A Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow written or oral instructions.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
