About the role#
As a Nurse Extern in the Emergency Department, you will work under the supervision of an RN to provide basic and intermediate nursing care. You will assist patients of all ages, helping ensure they receive comfort and support during their time in the ER.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic and intermediate nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
- Offer essential assistance and comfort to patients.
- Complete all established position competencies within the designated introductory period.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited school of nursing.
- Completion of at least one semester of clinicals in an RN program.
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the ARC or AHA upon hire.
- AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within 60 days of hire.
