About the role#
Orion Steel is hiring an IT Software Developer Co-op to join our team in Regina. This program is designed for students who want to build a career in industrial manufacturing. You will work alongside our Information Technology team to develop your skills through hands-on projects, moving toward greater complexity and independence as you progress.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects related to information management.
- Develop and maintain databases.
- Collaborate with the IT team to support systems in our manufacturing environment.
- Contribute to technical competencies and production requirements.
- Design and develop customized process feedback.
What you'll need#
- You are a 2nd year student in Computer Science or Software Systems Engineering.
- Solid programming skills in .NET development, including C#, ASP.NET, and HTML.
- Experience with SQL Server 2019 and Management Studio.
- Knowledge of database performance and tune-ups.
- Familiarity with Power BI, SSIS, and SSRS.
- Experience with WPF, WCF, EDM, and Expression Blend is helpful.
- Interest in working under the mentorship of an experienced team.

- This position is located on-site in Regina, Saskatchewan.
- This is a full-time, paid co-op role.
- We offer a rolling term for this position.
