About the role#
The Process Technology Co-op Student will join the Process Technology department at the Calgary facility for the Fall 2026 term. This position offers exposure to various operational areas including pipe forming, welding, heat treatment, and threading. The role requires an on-site presence to collect data, manage samples, and provide technical support.
What you'll do#
- Participate in tubular specialized testing projects.
- Review process data to identify non-conforming conditions.
- Coordinate with the QA department to address and respond to non-conformances.
- Conduct process analyses using techniques such as statistical process control and data collection.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist with testing management and ensure accurate data and sample collection.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a recognized Engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical, or Architecture) at a Canadian University.
- Completion of at least one year of the program.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, specifically statics and strength of materials.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency with MS Office.
- A self-starter mindset with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and strong organizational skills.
