About the role#
Nexans is hiring a Supply Chain Intern to support daily operations across planning, logistics, and inventory management. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure materials and finished products reach the right place at the right time. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the creation and update of demand and supply plans using sales forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
- Track stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Assist with inventory analysis, including identifying slow-moving items and supporting stock counts.
- Coordinate between planning, production, and logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track service levels, lead times, and forecast accuracy.
- Use ERP and planning tools like SAP to update and extract data for master data quality checks.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects such as process mapping or Lean initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of comfort using Excel.
- Basic understanding of supply chain concepts including demand planning, inventory, and production planning.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or data tools like Power BI is an advantage.
- Previous internship or project experience in logistics or production is helpful but not required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
