About the role#
This co-op position supports a research study focused on characterizing racial and ethnic disparities in cancer genetic service use and clinical recommendations. You will work within the Laboratory Medicine and Genetics department, contributing to data collection for approximately 2,000 patient charts.
What you'll do#
- Collect and extract data from patient charts.
- Input patient demographics into the database.
- Enter referral information into the system.
- Use RedCAP database software to manage research data.
- Travel between multiple hospital sites as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college Science program, such as Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or Public Health.
- A background in genetics or biology.
- Previous experience with database entry, specifically RedCAP.
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Records, particularly EPIC.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- This is an on-site position based in Mississauga, Ontario.
- You will work across Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, and Queensway Health Centre.
- This is a paid, temporary, part-time role with a rolling term.
