About the role#
HealthPartners is hiring a Diabetes Research Intern to work with the International Diabetes Center. This is a 12-month internship designed to help you gain experience in research operations and build your knowledge for future career goals. You will work on-site in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, and receive direction from various staff members within the department.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the daily implementation and operation of research studies.
- Perform data entry and contact potential study participants.
- Conduct eligibility screening and generate reports.
- Prepare materials for study visits.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with different study teams.
- Manage supplies and shipping.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong technical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in patient care, phlebotomy, or research is preferred.
- Completion of college-level general biology or chemistry coursework is preferred.
- A letter of recommendation from a faculty member, advisor, or professional reference.

- Location: Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, typically 7:30am to 4:00pm.
- Duration: 12-month term with potential for extension.
