About the role#
The Pharmacy Student Intern works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support pharmacy operations. This role involves direct patient interaction, medication preparation, and assisting with clinical tasks in accordance with state and federal laws.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service and prepare medications and supplies for patients, patient care areas, and ancillary departments.
- Assist the pharmacist with the processing of outpatient prescriptions.
- Receive, stock, and reorder medications and supplies.
- Handle cash register transactions.
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
- Assist the pharmacist as required.
- Students in their 2nd-4th year may check the work completed by pharmacy technicians.
- Students in their 3rd or 4th year may assist the Emergency Center Pharmacist with medication reconciliation and the Hospice Program Pharmacist with hospice chart review.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited professional pharmacy program.
- Registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Park Nicollet’s motor vehicle insurability requirements.
- Familiarity with office software and automated dispensing products is considered a plus.

- Location: Saint Louis Park, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: One evening per week and every third weekend.
