About the role#
INTEGRIS Health is hiring a Pharmacy Intern for an inpatient position at our Yukon hospital. This role is PRN and focuses on weekend day shifts. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to support safe medication therapy and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Advise on medication therapy, pharmacokinetic recommendations, nutritional information, and pain management.
- Review physician orders for safety, dosing, drug interactions, cost effectiveness, and formulary compliance.
- Compound and dispense pharmaceutical products, including preparing, labeling, and distributing them.
- Maintain the readiness of emergency carts.
- Ensure medications in all healthcare areas are stored and dispensed correctly.
- Document all work accurately and complete tasks within expected turnaround times.
- Handle assigned projects as directed by pharmacy leadership.
- Be aware that some handled drugs, such as chemotherapeutics and antivirals, require safety precautions due to potential exposure hazards.
What you'll need#
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Intern with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
