About the role#
This Student Research Assistant position supports research staff with general laboratory experiments and clinical studies. You will perform routine tasks under direct supervision and contribute to overall operations within the laboratory environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist research staff with experiments and clinical studies.
- Sterilize and clean glassware.
- Dispose of non-hazardous specimens, media, and other materials.
- Record and check results for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a log of work performed.
- Attend seminars and lab meetings to learn about research and laboratory techniques.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an academic program, specifically in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, or Nursing.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in an organized fashion and collaborate well with others.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications is helpful.

- This role is located at the Colket Translational Research Building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
- As a condition of employment, staff working in patient care buildings must receive an annual influenza vaccine.
