About the role#
This position is for a Pharmacy Student at the Behavioral Health and Crisis Center. You will assist in pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and dispense compounded non-sterile and sterile products.
- Ensure all patient doses are verified by a pharmacist before they are dispensed.
- Manage floor-stock medications and oversee their handling and delivery.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for narcotics and controlled substances.
- Follow standard operating procedures for medication identification, labeling, and storage.
- Comply with federal, state, and departmental regulations regarding pharmacy practices.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Enrollment in a program for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, or Nursing.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with the Windows operating system.
- Proficiency in calculation skills.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is preferred.
