About the role#
The Center for Translational Geroscience at Cedars-Sinai is seeking an undergraduate student to join our team as a research intern. This role is designed for students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program who are exploring a career in healthcare. You will work under the mentorship of Dr. Sara Espinoza and the daily supervision of our program manager to support clinical trials focused on aging, frailty, and healthspan.
What you'll do#
- Assist with research projects and contribute to discussions on progress and findings.
- Perform data entry and collection for clinical trial studies.
- Support clinical research staff during patient visits, documentation, and data queries.
- Help with CRF completion and monitor visits.
- Attend team huddles, laboratory meetings, and recruitment sessions.
- Support local community events and research day activities.
- Use CS-link for chart reviews and database management after completing required CITI training.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program.
- Ability to receive academic credit for the duration of the internship.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a HS Diploma or GED.
- Must reside in the greater Los Angeles area or surrounding cities.
- Interest in fields such as Biology, Public Health, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or Psychology.
