Cedars-Sinai is seeking a part-time Research Intern to support a new initiative focused on the genetic basis of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), led by Dr. Evan Kransdorf. This project involves generating induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines from patients with various DCM genotypes. The intern will gain hands-on experience in prospective and retrospective clinical research and receive exposure to specialized iPSC and biomanufacturing methodologies through collaboration with the Biomanufacturing team.
What you'll do#
- Support participant identification and recruitment for the DCM genetics study.
- Assist with data collection and management.
- Support regulatory submissions and other study-related administrative activities.
- Coordinate with internal and external research collaborators, including the Biomanufacturing team.
- Perform project-specific tasks to support study milestones.
What you'll need#
- No prior experience is required.
- Strong interest in cardiovascular research, genetics, prospective clinical research, or stem cell biology.
- Ability to commit to a one-year, part-time term.
- Preferred background includes current medical students, particularly those taking a gap year, or equivalent individuals.
- Relevant fields of study include Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health, or Health Administration.
