About the role#
The Administrative Fellowship is a non-clinical program designed to prepare professionals for leadership roles in healthcare administration. You will gain experience through structured departmental rotations, executive exposure, and hands-on training. The program focuses on building core competencies in operations, communication, project management, and strategy.
What you'll do#
- Engage in structured rotations across different departments to learn operational practices and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with project sponsors to define scopes, timelines, and resources.
- Lead or co-lead at least one high-impact project per rotation from initiation to delivery.
- Conduct data and operational analysis, prepare reports, and present actionable recommendations.
- Partner with rotation leaders and mentors to define goals and receive regular feedback.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization to understand institutional challenges and best practices.
- Participate in executive and departmental leadership meetings and shadow leaders to observe decision-making processes.
- Plan and execute a capstone project or a workstream of a major organizational project.
- Meet with your mentor on a recurring basis.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, or Health Services Administration. This degree must be completed before the fellowship begins.
- At least one year of relevant work experience in business or healthcare, such as internships, practicum placements, or graduate assistantships.
