About the role#
Orion Steel is seeking an Inventory Data Analyst Intern for the Summer 2026 term in Pueblo, Colorado. This full-time, paid internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on the documentation and integration of mobile equipment parts within Oracle EAM and internal workflows.
What you'll do#
- Ensure mobile equipment parts are correctly documented, tracked, and integrated into Oracle EAM and internal workflows.
- Catalog current stock, verify item attributes, and submit requests for new inventory item setups.
- Collaborate with the garage supervisor, stock attendant, and maintenance teams to determine organization methods and stocking levels.
- Support maintenance technicians by assisting with work orders and verifying completion with the maintenance supervisor.
- Attend administrative and maintenance planning meetings to communicate outstanding work and contribute to planning.
- Contact Oracle and internal helpdesk support to resolve system issues.
- Design tracking sheets for inventory parts and manage visibility for open and received purchase orders.
- Scrub and validate large datasets to identify errors, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
- Develop Asset Bills of Materials and set up metered Preventive Maintenance tasks for critical equipment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to collaborate with operations and maintenance staff in hands-on environments.
- Ability to work at a desk and perform field observations in mill environments requiring full PPE.
- Familiarity with Oracle EAM or other enterprise asset management systems is preferred but not required.

- Compensation: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
