About the role#
This is a full-time, 12-month internship within the Rolling Mill operations department. As part of the G. Start program, you will work on projects designed to build your technical and managerial skills. This position is fully on-site in Cambridge, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze data from production processes and equipment to identify trends and root causes.
- Find opportunities to improve mill efficiency, productivity, quality, and reliability.
- Support the development and implementation of improvement projects.
- Use CAD software to assist with equipment design, layouts, and process changes.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to execute projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering degree program, or a related field.
- You must be entering your third or fourth year of undergraduate studies.
- A record of strong academic achievement.
- Leadership experience in student organizations or other extra-curricular activities.
- Legal authorization to work full-time in Canada without sponsorship.
