About the role#
Gerdau is hiring an Engineering Intern for our G. Start program in Fort Smith. This paid internship focuses on project assignments designed to build your technical and managerial skills. You will work within our steel manufacturing operations to support daily processes and gain hands-on experience in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the G. Start internship program.
- Complete project-focused assignments.
- Develop your technical and managerial abilities.
- Provide operational support within our steel manufacturing facility.
What you'll need#
- You are an undergraduate entering your Junior or Senior year.
- You are pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Materials Science, Metallurgy Engineering, or a related field.
- You hold a minimum GPA of 2.5, though 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- You are legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
- You possess strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
