About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical Technologist Intern to join our team in Selkirk, Manitoba. You will work with our site-wide Reliability Team to gain hands-on experience in steel manufacturing. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site.
What you'll do#
- Update equipment and facility drawings.
- Assist engineers on capital expenditure improvement projects.
- Manage smaller non-capital projects.
- Plan electrical jobs and order necessary parts.
- Work with outside vendors and consultants.
- Support the electrical planner and assist in managing contractors.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of an Electrical degree from a recognized university or enrollment in the Electrical Engineering Technology program at RRC Polytech.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5, with a preference for 3.0 or higher.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and good organizational habits.
- Ability to work independently and learn new tasks quickly.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship.
