About the role#
The Technology Summer Analyst Program in Risk Technology is a 10-week internship based in New York. You will work within the Risk and Capital Technology team, which provides analytics and metrics to manage the firm's risk exposure and capital allocations. You will act as a full member of the team, working alongside senior mentors and a dedicated buddy to contribute to mission-critical applications.
What you'll do#
- Build and integrate applications for direct use by business stakeholders.
- Own specific components of applications and engage in hands-on development.
- Work with QA teams to perform unit and integration testing on your deliverables.
- Partner with Business Analysts to clarify project requirements and scope.
- Use AI and machine learning techniques to improve risk analytics, automate workflows, and create data-driven solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field at a university in the United States, with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Strong academic record and high GPA.
- Practical programming experience with Java, Python, and Web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, or Unix scripting.
- A solid foundation in data structures, logical analysis, and problem-solving.
- Ability to understand financial products.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- A meticulous approach to your work and a willingness to take on new challenges.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Annualized rate of $95,000 to $105,000 based on degree program enrollment.
- Note: This role is non-exempt and eligible for overtime. Nomura does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
