About the role#
The Operations Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship designed to provide hands-on experience as a full member of the team. You will work alongside Nomura professionals, benefit from a senior mentor, and participate in seminars and discussion groups. This program serves as a primary pipeline for full-time recruiting.
What you'll do#
Your responsibilities depend on your assigned team within the Operations division:
- Coordinate client onboarding for the US region and maintain existing client relationships.
- Apply structured transformation methodology by creating project documentation like BRDs, FRDs, and gap analyses.
- Facilitate project working groups and develop front-to-back process flows.
- Oversee settlement and corporate action processing through vendor management.
- Mitigate operational risk and ensure the firm meets regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk reviews of business customers based on KYC standards.
- Handle trade validation, P&L reconciliation, collateral operations, and risk management.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
- Expected graduation date in May or June of 2028 or 2029.
- Strong academic performance and a high GPA.
- Current authorization to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to understand financial products and manage organizational tasks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital tools like Alteryx, Python, or AI platforms is a plus.

- Compensation: $70,000 annualized base salary, non-exempt and eligible for overtime.
