About the role#
Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is looking for a Supply Chain Intern for Summer 2027. This on-site role is based at our Chicago plant. You will report to the Manager of Inventory and Replenishment and gain experience in inventory management, automated replenishment, and supply planning. You will work with the Supply Chain, Sales, IT, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to support our Automated Inventory Management (AIM) program.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and update customer, inventory, and replenishment data in the AIM program.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, system exceptions, and reporting issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support inventory and replenishment processes.
- Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
- Gather, analyze, and report on inventory consumption, replenishment activity, and performance metrics.
- Review inventory trends and evaluate supply planning recommendations.
- Monitor replenishment processes to ensure material availability.
- Support internal stakeholders with inventory management and continuous improvement efforts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset and a focus on solving problems through data.
- Detail-oriented approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work with various teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP, data analytics tools, EDI systems, or automation technologies is a plus.
- Interest in a career in supply chain, inventory management, operations, or manufacturing.
