About the role#
As an Asset Management Intern at Z Modular, you will help manage the performance of a growing portfolio of real estate assets. You will work with the Director of Asset Management to track property performance, assist with leasing activities, conduct market research, and support capital improvement projects. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and third-party operators to ensure community goals are met. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Austin, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Support communication with third-party operators to ensure compliance and performance goals.
- Monitor community performance and prepare reports for management review.
- Coordinate leasing documentation, including tracking inquiries and compiling data.
- Maintain records for revenue tracking and cost control efforts.
- Research leasing trends, competitive properties, and market conditions.
- Monitor vendor contracts for budget alignment and renewal dates.
- Track capital improvement projects and collaborate with site teams on timelines.
- Participate in team meetings and document key action items.
- Promote safe work practices in accordance with company policy.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of rental real estate or asset management principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive attitude and a desire to learn.
- Availability to travel for the Zekelman Industries Internship Summit.
