About the role#
This is a four-month internship role based in Ottawa. You will join a multi-site research and development organization that manages a portfolio of over 1000 customers. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience with program management and project lifecycle tasks.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily program tasks for customer deliverables, including release planning and quality assurance milestones.
- Assist the team in building detailed project plans, timelines, and tracking progress against key deliverables.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to refine project management tools, methodologies, and communication.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree or diploma program in Project Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, Agile practices, and project management principles.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams across different geographies.
- Attention to detail and an organized approach to work.
- Experience with project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana is a plus, as is experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Power BI, or Adobe Premiere.
