About the role#
Nokia is hiring a Test Automation Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Ottawa. You will work in a hybrid capacity from January 4th to April 30th, 2027. This role is designed for students to gain practical experience across various engineering tasks while learning the skills necessary for a future career in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and resolve technical issues across Linux, macOS, and container environments.
- Support DevOps practices by using CI/CD tools including Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gradle, and NPM.
- Automate and build new internal tools using Python, Golang, or Java.
- Explore the future of network automation by evaluating and integrating new technologies.
- Continuously learn and apply new languages and tools to improve team capabilities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Master's, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma program in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field at an accredited Canadian school.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or Java.
- Experience working with Linux or macOS systems.
- Familiarity with development tools like Git, Jenkins, NPM, and Gradle.
- A motivation to learn and grow professionally.
