About the role#
Ericsson is hiring for a Test and Automated Test Co-op in Ottawa for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The role offers exposure to 5G technology through three potential focus areas: Automated Test Development, Integration and Design Testing, or AI Developer Experience. We will determine your specific placement during the interview process.
What you'll do#
- Write code for automated 5G test cases and build supporting test tool capabilities.
- Construct infrastructure for 5G automated testing, including Layer 1 and various test frameworks.
- Develop automation and tools to support vDU integration, including data visualization and performance analysis.
- Use AI and Generative AI tools to improve test development workflows, including prompt engineering and model fine-tuning for test generation.
- Conduct software feature and integration testing using 5G lab equipment.
- Create command-line and web-based tools to assist software development.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues discovered during testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program on a full-time basis.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.7 or equivalent.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Submission of an unofficial transcript with your application.
