About the role#
The Portfolio Innovation Incubation Team is looking for a student to contribute to projects focused on automation for Nokia 5G Core products. You will join a rapid-prototyping team that explores new technologies to improve automation, security, service assurance, and sustainability for core network products.
What you'll do#
- Build and vet new technology in areas of automation, observability, and security for core networks.
- Work across the stack, including back-end microservices, front-end user interfaces, and APIs for Large Language Models.
- Participate in an agile team environment.
- Document descriptions and findings for your work items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Master’s, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma program in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming skills in Go, JavaScript, or Python.
- Understanding of YAML and JSON.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, VMs, and Linux.
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid).
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4 to April 30, 2027).
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
