About the role#
Join the hardware group at Nokia to gain hands-on experience with routing platforms. You will work alongside an experienced embedded software team to develop software that powers hardware technology. This role provides lab experience with prototype circuit boards and includes guidance from a dedicated mentor. This is an on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement device drivers.
- Develop code to stress and screen new hardware designs.
- Collaborate with factory teams to support production test programs.
- Create custom automation scripts to control test equipment.
- Verify and debug circuit designs using oscilloscopes and other test gear.
- Test hardware under thermal and environmental conditions.
- Complete the final assembly of new prototype units.
- Qualify new circuit components.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or Electronic Engineering Technology program at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution (2nd/3rd year or equivalent).
- Relevant academic or co-op experience.
- Solid foundation in hardware electronics concepts.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Completion of at least one co-op work term, a 4-month paid internship, or equivalent paid work experience.
- Proactive attitude and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts with ease.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4 to April 30, 2027).
