About the role#
Join our team of network automation and orchestration experts as an Automation Engineer Co-op. You will work alongside senior team members to create and deliver automation solutions for our IP networking customers. Our team focuses on projects related to Nokia Data Center solutions, providing custom tools and scripting to support complex workflows.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a senior team member on various tools and scripting tasks.
- Learn the details of Nokia Data Center solutions.
- Gain hands-on experience using OpenStack and Kubernetes.
- Develop scripts to assist the team in delivering custom automation projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer, Software, or Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Perl, and Python.
- Experience with Java and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and advanced formulas.
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and dashboard creation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Preferred: Experience with SQL, Power Automate, or other workflow automation tools.
- Preferred: Familiarity with operational processes, forecasting, demand planning, or AI-driven analytics.
- Prior experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects related to software development is an asset.
