About the role#
We are looking for a motivated intern to join our team at Ericsson. You will work alongside experienced engineers to learn how automation, integration, and deployment solutions are designed, developed, tested, and supported. This role offers hands-on experience with DevOps practices while you contribute to important technology initiatives. Because this position involves interacting with global teams and stakeholders across Canada, you must be fluent in both French and English.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and testing of automation components under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Assist with unit testing and validation to ensure components meet acceptance criteria.
- Maintain tools, scripts, and automation solutions, including their documentation.
- Support operational activities such as data loading, batch job scheduling, and system monitoring.
- Participate in investigating incidents, identifying potential corrections, and documenting findings.
- Assist with software deployment and integration activities in target environments.
- Contribute to discussions regarding process efficiency, system reliability, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of DevOps principles, automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD).
- Familiarity with software development and testing concepts.
- Basic understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines, and data modeling.
- Understanding of systems, cloud environments, or IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, ask questions, and communicate clearly.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
