About the role#
The IT Infrastructure Intern will work with our team to support a modern hybrid environment. This includes on-premises systems, cloud platforms, and identity management. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure while contributing to operational support and project-based work. We are looking for a student who already has a technical foundation and is ready to build deeper skills. You will focus on using AI, scripting, and automation to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the hybrid infrastructure environment.
- Support routine AWS and Azure activities, including resource management and documentation.
- Identify repetitive processes to improve through AI, scripting, and automation.
- Develop, test, and document solutions using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Assist with identity and access activities such as role-based access and policy governance.
- Research new technologies and evaluate ways to improve current infrastructure operations.
- Create and improve procedures, diagrams, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in infrastructure lifecycle activities, including system maintenance, upgrades, and equipment deployment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- Foundational hands-on IT experience from coursework, labs, certifications, personal projects, or previous roles.
- Exposure to at least one of these areas: Windows or Linux administration, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms, scripting, or automation.
- A basic understanding of how systems, networks, storage, and cloud services work together.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Technical curiosity and a willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies.
- Interest in infrastructure, cloud computing, automation, and the practical use of AI.
- Good communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (three days per week on-site).
- Term: Winter 2027 (beginning in January for three months, with potential to extend).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
