About the role#
Join Nokia as a Customer Technical Support Co-op or Intern to gain hands-on experience troubleshooting real-world network environments. You will work with IP Service Router platforms, collaborate with experts, and develop practical skills in the telecommunications industry.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot customer network issues across various IP Service Router platforms.
- Manage and support network environments using Nokia SR Linux, including configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Assist in reproducing customer issues in the lab and document test results.
- Perform basic configuration tasks on routers and switches under supervision.
- Identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions.
- Help prepare presentations or summaries based on findings from lab tests or customer cases.
- Participate in continuous learning through internal workshops, trainings, and shadowing opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in network technology, Computer, Software, Electrical, or Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field at an accredited school in Canada.
- Knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols like OSPF and BGP, and switching technologies such as VLANs and STP.
- Strong knowledge of Linux platforms, coding, and automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and share knowledge with others.
- Preferred: IP Certifications, basic knowledge of router and switch configuration, and exposure to tools like Wireshark and IXIA.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4 to April 30, 2027).
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
