About the role#
This is a paid co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join a small scrum team to build features for telecommunication software. The role focuses on gaining practical experience with large systems while contributing to Intent-Based Networking, IP Service Configuration, and automation projects.
What you'll do#
- Write code for new software features within your scrum team.
- Learn how telecommunication networks function at scale.
- Develop and maintain automation tools.
- Work on IP Service Configuration and Intent-Based Networking tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a 2nd year or higher student in a bachelor’s degree or diploma program for Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You have programming experience in Java and JavaScript.
- You know the ReactJS framework, including state management and component lifecycles.
- You have used unit testing tools like Mocha and Jest.
- You understand Object Oriented Analysis and Design.
- It is helpful if you know network management concepts and protocols like SNMP, Netconf, or Yang.

- This role is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- The work modality is hybrid.
- This is a full-time internship position.
