About the role#
Ericsson is looking for a Full-Stack Developer Co-op to join a small, autonomous team in Montreal. You will contribute to the development of next-generation software that automates cloud infrastructure and data center hardware tasks. This role involves end-to-end software development, from initial design and coding to testing and deployment. You will work in an environment where the team defines its own technical direction and development tools.
What you'll do#
- Define requirements and participate in implementation discussions.
- Design and code front-end or back-end functionality.
- Write unit test cases for your code.
- Develop automated feature tests using the Cypress framework.
- Participate in project status and prioritization meetings.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or software development.
- Experience developing web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Proficiency with the React front-end library or Node.js back-end framework.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks like Cypress or Selenium.
- Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
- Strong background in software algorithmics.
- Ability to communicate in both French and English, as this role interacts with global and national teams.
- A solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to work autonomously as part of a team.
