About the role#
As a WaveLogic Software Intern, you will contribute to the development of optical networking solutions within a collaborative engineering environment. This role focuses on software projects that are integral to network solutions and innovative technology development, encouraging creative problem solving and technical collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to software projects that support optical network solutions.
- Develop software for performance and reliability in multi-processor, highly concurrent systems.
- Collaborate with team members to advance innovative technology initiatives.
- Apply new ideas to technical challenges.
- Participate in the development of embedded software solutions.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience developing embedded software solutions.
- C/C++ coding experience.
- Experience using Linux based workstations.
- Experience writing scripts such as Python or Bash.
- Self-motivated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfort working in a lab environment.
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and git.

- Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.
