About the role#
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer co-op to join our R&D team. You will work on our actual product, shipping features that real customers depend on. This role involves balancing code with business reasoning, as you help connect HR systems so data moves between them without manual re-entry. You will be a full member of the team, working alongside senior developers who focus on your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Build and improve features in the product while learning the customer problems they solve.
- Write backend and full stack code using Java and JavaScript.
- Work with APIs and manage data flowing between HR systems.
- Write and run tests to ensure code quality before it reaches a customer.
- Collaborate with developers through code reviews and team discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A solid foundation in Java and/or JavaScript.
- Some exposure to Spring and JUnit, including experience from school projects.
- Previous co-op term or relevant professional work experience.
- Experience with or knowledge of APIs.
- Strong analytical thinking and a thoughtful approach to using new tools.
