About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program starting in May 2027. You will join the engineering department to assist staff with utility facility projects. This role involves learning within a team environment, completing tasks, and collaborating on projects. You will build professional relationships and gain an overview of utility operations.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate, design, estimate, and manage projects for electric and gas facilities.
- Collect and analyze data while reviewing records.
- Create job order sketches using AutoCad.
- Perform field measurements to support project needs.
- Assemble data to create job order estimates.
- Support emergency response efforts if needed, which may include working outside normal hours.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited four-year engineering program (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Environmental).
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate study.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Proficiency with PC applications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the reporting location.
