About the role#
Join the Assurance and Accounting group as a student. You will work with a diverse team of professionals to provide financial information that helps clients make business decisions. This role involves learning technical skills in accounting, auditing, and tax, while contributing to the financial reporting needs of our clients.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Prepare files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses.
- Perform walkthrough tests for accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll.
- Assess evidence that supports expenses and revenue.
- Review and correct discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, ASPE, and GAAP standards.
- Prepare technical reports, client summaries, and financial statements.
- Collaborate with engagement teams and maintain client relationships.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- In the process of completing prerequisite courses for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Previous accounting experience in a firm is an asset.
- Customer service experience is an asset.
- Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

- This is a full-time, paid internship with rolling terms.
