About the role#
Co-op students perform routine, detailed accounting services under direct supervision. You will work on various engagements, including audits, reviews, and compilations. This is a full-time, paid position based in Yellowknife for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist engagement teams by importing trial balances.
- Set up file sections.
- Test account balances and transactions for various assertions.
- Analyze and document internal controls and organizational structures.
- Handle bookkeeping assignments.
What you'll need#
- You are actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- You are working toward the requirements needed to enter the CPA program.
- You have a working knowledge of accounting standards.
- You have experience with accounting and tax software, such as Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet strict deadlines.
- You possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
