About the role#
MNP is hiring an Auditeur adjoint for a full-time internship in Salaberry-De-Valleyfield. This role focuses on accounting and assurance tasks within our team. You will work on-site and should be prepared to travel as needed.
What you'll do#
- Execute compilation, review, and audit engagements.
- Provide bookkeeping and tax services to clients.
- Prepare files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses.
- Manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts.
- Perform walkthrough tests for accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and payroll.
- Summarize client financial situations by preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other reports.
- Evaluate evidence supporting expenses, revenues, and other financial records.
- Identify and correct discrepancies in financial entries and documents.
- Develop accounting plans and prepare journal entries.
- Draft technical reports, summaries, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and build relationships with client contacts.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor degree in Commerce or Business Administration, ideally with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- Enrollment in the CPA Professional Education Program.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, and SEC standards.
- Experience with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.
