About the role#
MNP is seeking an Intern or Co-op Student to join the Assurance and Accounting team for the Winter 2027 term. This role involves providing financial information and advisory services to help clients make informed business decisions. You will work directly with engagement teams to support various accounting and reporting functions.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize client status.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients regarding accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset transactions, and payroll.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and build professional relationships with client contacts.
- Apply knowledge of financial reporting standards including IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE.
- Set up files for new clients and conduct inventory counts.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progressing toward the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Previous office experience in an accounting environment is considered an asset.
- Customer or client service experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.

- Locations: Surrey, Langley, and Port Moody, British Columbia.
- Term: Winter 2027 (starting January 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annual salary range of $45,000 to $55,000.
