About the role#
MNP is hiring a Co-op Accountant for the Winter 2027 term in Owen Sound, Ontario. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will join the Assurance and Accounting team to assist with financial reporting and client engagements.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Summarize financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in financial documents and entries.
- Prepare technical reports, correspondence, client summaries, and presentations to highlight engagement findings.
- Work with the client engagement team to build and maintain relationships with client contacts.
What you'll need#
- Completion of or progress toward a bachelor degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progress toward meeting prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience in accounting is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.
