About the role#
Treewalk is looking for accounting co-op students to join our team. We are a CPABC pre-approved training office that supports students through their journey to designation. You will work with a team ranging from other CPA students to experienced CFOs, gaining exposure to financial reporting processes and handling your own accounting clients.
What you'll do#
- Perform bookkeeping for public and private clients, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank transactions, reconciliations, GST filings, and journal entries.
- Maintain organized electronic records of invoices and statements.
- Prepare working papers for financial statement line items.
- Assist in gathering documents for client audits.
- Support various projects and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree or diploma program specializing in accounting.
- Active participation in a recognized co-op program.
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to format documents in Word.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Eligibility to work in Canada as a citizen, permanent resident, or protected person under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is fully remote within Canada, though you may choose to work from our Vancouver office.
- We offer rolling terms.
