About the role#
MKEC Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for our Wichita, Kansas office. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will work on projects across land development, public works, and transportation. You will gain experience through direct collaboration with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
What you'll do#
- Work on real-world projects such as residential and commercial developments, schools, healthcare facilities, athletic facilities, roadways, streets, and bridges.
- Use industry-specific design software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Learn the full design process from start to finish.
- Assist the project team in meeting client expectations and schedules.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an ABET accredited engineering degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation is preferred.
- Strong time management, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn within a team-oriented culture.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
