About the role#
MKEC Engineering is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Industrial/Energy team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Wichita, Kansas. You will work on projects involving refineries, ammonia and fertilizer plants, and logistics terminals.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
- Gain experience on real-world projects.
- Learn the full design process from start to finish.
- Use industry-specific design software.
- Help the project team meet client expectations and schedules.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
- You have experience with Microsoft Office.
- You have strong time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
- You bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn.
- You want to work in a team-oriented culture.
- Exposure to AutoCAD or Solidworks is preferred.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
