About the role#
MKEC Engineering is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for our office in Overland Park, Kansas. You will work on projects across our Land Development, Public Works, and Transportation service areas. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Work on real-world projects, including residential and commercial developments, schools, healthcare facilities, athletic facilities, roadways, streets, and bridges.
- Learn and use design software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate directly with licensed engineers, project managers, and designers.
- Gain insight into the full design process from start to finish.
- Assist project teams in meeting client expectations and project schedules.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an engineering degree program at an ABET accredited school.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Awareness of industry software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation.
- Strong time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn in a team environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
