About the role#
As a Civil Site Engineer Intern, you will support our engineering team by preparing drawings, performing calculations, and conducting field research. You will work under supervision to ensure all project documentation meets established engineering standards and guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Draft engineering designs, layouts, and construction documents.
- Perform basic calculations for drainage, grading, and utilities.
- Conduct field investigations, take measurements, and document site conditions.
- Compile technical reports and design documentation for review.
- Organize project files and technical records.
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a BS or MS program for Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- A GPA of 2.7 or higher is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel is preferred.
- Prior internship or project experience in transportation and bridge work is a plus.
- Involvement in campus or community organizations and volunteer activities.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
