About the role#
GBA is looking for an engineering student to join the Fire Protection group for a summer internship. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced engineers, with opportunities to rotate through different areas if you are still exploring your career path.
What you'll do#
- Assist with designs, calculations, and models for fire protection and life safety systems.
- Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and system testing.
- Follow established quality control processes and design standards.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams on various projects.
- Participate in an active learning environment with direct mentorship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Architectural Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related degree.
- Completed at least two years of your undergraduate program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with architectural or engineering projects.
- Active involvement in campus, community, or volunteer organizations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and work comfortably in an office setting.
